5.20 am?  What?  Uhhhhhhh.  My two-year old daughter’s awake.  My turn to get up.  No sense in prolonging the inevitable.

But hey, as I look out of the window, the sun’s rising and it looks like it’s going to be a great day, maybe the greatest day.

I turn on the radio in the kitchen and do you know what’s playing…

Spooky… The Greatest Day by Take That…

The positivity is positively flowing through my veins now.  I’m going to get so much done today and have loads of time to spare.  It’s going to be a success.

Oh, now my son’s awake.  6.00 am.  What?  Can we play Sonic The Hedgehog on the PlayStation?  Well, it’s a little early but go on then.  Nothing’s going to phase me today, the adrenaline’s pumping.  Grab a cup of coffee and let’s get playing.

7.00 am.  Game over.  Sonic no more.  My wife’s awake.  Down to some hard graft.

I didn’t feel so great yesterday but after a good night’s sleep there’s so much clarity.  I can conquer the world after all.

Today Could Be The Greatest Day Of My Life

“Attitudes are contagious.  Are yours worth catching?” — Dennis and Wendy Mannering

Positivity is contagious, almost infectious.  It makes me happy; helps me roll with the punches; keeps me healthy.

Did you get out of bed the right side today?

Being positive is a conscious decision and that choice is yours to make.  I’m not liking the alternative today.

Don’t get me wrong, no-one can keep up this amount of positivity forever, can they?  Just wait until the coffee buzz wears off…

“A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.” –  Herm Albright

Have I annoyed you yet?  I’m not trying to.

I’m really not letting anything worry me today – make like a duck and let things roll off your back is my motto.  This could be my greatest day remember.

There’s so many times I’ve held on to negativity, worrying about how things should be.  I’m decided I’m going to embrace change and adapt.

I’m sending positive vibes to everyone today you see.  It’s the right thing to do.

So could this be the greatest day of your life?  If not, why not?  What can you change to make things better?

I’ll leave you with this final quote.

“There are two types of people – those who come into a room and say, ‘Well, here I am!’ and those who come in and say, ‘Ah, there you are.’” — Frederick L. Collins

Which one are you?

Do you have any favourite positive quotes you would like to share?

Thank you for reading and I welcome any comments you may have.  If you’re feeling generous, please share my post as well.

What a great post Tim and you most definitely can have a positive outlook the majority of the time. Heck for you, I would wake up every morning so very blessed to have my kids, a wife that loves me and being able to stay at home and work.

I get up every morning thanking God for yet another day. For all that he’s blessed me with and that in itself starts my day off positively and gloriously. Yep, that’s how I start each and every day Tim.

Bravo to you my friend. I hope this is contagious and I’ll share your message as well.

Wow, thank you Adrienne. Your comments mean a lot.

I woke up the other day, thought “am I going about this the wrong way?” and decided I had to do something about it.

It resulted in my post and I’m hoping it will be contagious.

My wife noticed a difference in me and wondered what was wrong! It wasn’t just that I’d had my hair cut either. ;-)

Great that you start off your day so positively. I have to admit that when I’m woken up at 5 am some mornings my positivity slips just a little bit.

Thank you for sharing my positivity Adrienne.

      Have a great weekend.

Great to see you here and thank you for your comments.

Let’s hope I can keep that positive mindset going! :-)

That song is really uplifting. It raised my spirits that morning.

      Have a great weekend Mark.

    Hi Tim,

What a great and uplifting post! Oh how I remember those days when the kiddos got up way before me …or before I wanted to. I am not a morning person, haha.

I can’t say I get up on a positive note every single day. However, I have the power to change that. I have the choice whether to stay grumpy or be happy. One of my favorite things to do is watch one of the videos on SimpleTruths.com. Those get me into a positive spirit in no time flat.

Here are three of my favorite attitude quotes:

“It is your attitude, not your aptitude, that determines your altitude.” – Zig Ziglar

“Weakness of attitude becomes weakness of character.” -Albert Einstein

“Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.” -Winston Churchill

    All the best,

      Hi Ilka

It’s another early one this morning. I don’t feel too grumpy yet though!

I’ve not heard of SimpleTruths.Com, so I’ll go and check that out. Thank you for letting me know. :-)

Also, thank you so much for your comments. I love all of those quotes, particularly the Winston Churchill one.

      Have a great weekend Ilka.

I do my best each day to remind myself of all the good things in my life and not to focus on those that are less good. It is not always easy but it is a good habit to get into.

      Hi Jack

Thank you for taking the time to comment on my blog. It’s much appreciated.

You speak wise words there Jack. It can be so easy to focus on the negative and find yourself in a downward spiral for the day.

Set yourself up positively and hopefully things will go smoothly!

Thank you Jack. I hope you had a good weekend.

Hope to see you again soon.

      Tim

  5. Chadrack says:

Glad I read this today for truly I’ve really had this positive all through the day! Ive always love this quote:

“Your attitude will determine your altitude!’

I only hope we can really keep this mindset every day no matter the happenings around us.

    Thanks for sharing.

    • Tim Bonner says:

      Hey Chadrack

That’s a great quote. Thanks for sharing it.

I’m glad to hear you’ve felt positive all through the day. It makes things happen and gets things done!

Hopefully we can all keep a positive mind this week and be super productive.

      Have a great week.

  6. Jeevan Jacob John says:

“Life is what we make out of it”.

We could make every day of our life the greatest day of our life (Well, we should consider it as the greatest day, keep a positive attitude). Yes, we can’t always be positive, right, Tim? It is a hard thing to keep, especially if all those interesting and unforgettable events happening in our lives :D

I can feel your positive vibe, Tim ;) I try to be positive, but I can’t always, and I know that, but I still try :D

I try to convert those negative feelings into positive, by using them as my motivation to do better (it works like a charm for me!).

    • Tim Bonner says:

      Hi Jeevan

I have to admit my positivity waned a bit today after not having much sleep last night.

It’s great that you can convert any negative feelings into positive. That’s definitely a great motivator and that’s also a great quote you mentioned as well.

At the end of the day, it’s our choice whether we stay grumpy or get those positive vibes going!

Thank you for your comments Jeevan.

I really don’t have a personal or even a favorite quote to share (sorry) but I still wanted to say thanks to you because that song raised my spirit and made me smile.

Hope you’re doing fantastic and that you’re enjoying your weekend, talk soon!

      Hey Sergio

It really is a great song to lift your spirits and I’m glad it made you smile. It did the same for me that morning.

I’m doing well thanks and I had a great weekend. I spent the day with my family today at the home of golf in St Andrews.

We didn’t play golf I have to say but it’s a great place on a sunny day for a wander.

I hope you’re having a great weekend too and here’s too a productive week ahead!
